At Potato Head, regeneration is the architecture and enabler of the experience itself. It drives our purpose and culture.
From the beginning, our ethos has been “Good Times, Do Good”, a belief that creating good times can become a vehicle for change. A way of life where pleasure and regeneration can exist in harmony.
If you’d like a look behind the scenes at Potato Head, our latest Sustainability Report, Cultivating Progress, is now live. Cultivating Progress offers a straightforward view of where we are today — what’s working, what isn’t, and what we’re learning as we build a form of hospitality that gives back to Bali and the planet. It covers our waste system, community work, carbon tracking, and the ideas we’re testing for the years ahead.

Recently, some of this work has been recognised. Desa Potato Head Bali was awarded the Eco Hotel Award and ranked No.18 in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025.

Also our founder, Ronald Akili, was named one of the TIME 100 Climate Leaders of 2025.
These acknowledgements celebrate the effort of every team member, collaborator, and community partner who make this progress possible. The Eco Hotel Award , presented by 50 Best in collaboration with the Sustainable Restaurant Association, looks beyond design or comfort. It focuses on how we source, how we treat our people, and how we care for the environment. The assessment covers three key areas — Sourcing, Society, and Environment — and we’re proud to see our everyday actions reflected in this recognition.
Recognition reminds us to keep experimenting, learning, and sharing. It reinforces our commitment to leading with purpose and hospitality from the heart. Every thoughtful action, big or small, brings us closer to the world we hope to see.
