PNNY x Potato Head present Theo Parrish

Pioneering Detroit artist Theo Parrish makes his Desa Potato Head debut on Friday 27 October.

27 October, 7pm - 2am Beach Club

Theo Parrish is someone who needs little in the way of introduction. Simply put, the Detroit-based producer, DJ and label head is among the most respected creators to have emerged from the dance underground in the last 30 years.

His groundbreaking productions combine house and techno thrust with flashes of jazz, soul, and funk, while his genre-defying DJ sets brilliantly blend far-reaching textures into immersive dancefloor journeys. Parrish is the founder of the hugely influential Sound Signature label, which — as well as providing the home for the bulk of his prolific output — has been graced by a select group of acts including Omar S, Waajeed, Byron The Aquarius, and Mark De Clive-Lowe.

The event is the latest episode of our long-running collaboration with Bali’s PNNY Collective and sees a selection of local talents take the Seminyak stage.

Lineup Profile

Theo Parrish

Since emerging as a creative force in the ‘90s, Theo Parrish has cemented his position as one of the esoteric music community's most vital and reliable producers. He’s released seven albums and scores of singles on labels including Peacefrog, Ubiquity and his own Sound Signature imprint, and he’s considered one of the most influential artists to have arrived via Detroit’s second wave of electronic artists. Blending house, techno, disco, funk, new wave and more, his diverse DJ sets effortlessly combine disparate sounds into powerfully coherent sets.

PNNY are a symbiotic Bali-based collective made up of 6 uniquely talented artists. Each endowed with their own individual sounds and styles, they bring irrepressible vibrations to the dancefloor when their forces combine.
