On Friday, 3 January, we welcome renowned sonic curator Dekmantel Soundsystem, celebrated DJ and producer Young Marco, and local favourite Danny for a night of eclectic dancefloor sounds.
Known for his genre-spanning DJ sets and distinctive production style, Young Marco is one of the most intriguing artists to emerge from Amsterdam’s fertile dance music scene in recent years. His work incorporates diverse musical soundscapes, ranging from introspective ambience to floor-filling techno and crossover dance. Synonymous with institutions like Dekmantel, Rush Hour, and ESP Institute, he’s toured the world extensively over the past decade, continuing to defy expectations wherever he plays.
Spearheaded by Casper Tielrooij, Dekmantel represents a respected underground label, a wildly successful three-day festival, and a genre-defying DJ act. Under the Dekmantel Soundsystem moniker, Casper showcases his unparalleled digging credentials and knack for weaving together hidden gems and esoteric heaters, always surprising and invigorating the dancefloors he serves.
Completing this sonically diverse lineup, Bali-based DJ, producer, and Potato Head resident Danny takes to the stage, bringing his varied and uncompromising selections to fire up the Beach Club.
Join us as we keep the festive season alive on the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Young Marco’s sonic proclivities run far and wide. After exploring almost every conceivable genre of club music and its history, his own characteristic trance-inducing sound took shape. His high-energy psychedelic house and techno sets veer towards the unexpected, lifting crowds into a state of ecstasy all over the world.
Dekmantel Soundsystem sees Casper Tielrooij dig deep into his record collection to play mesmeric DJ sets that are full of seductive surprises and groovy gems – the festival frontman offering a 360-degree take on electronic music that has truly helped put the Netherlands and its scene on the map in recent years.
Danny is a DJ and producer known for his genre-blurring sets that fuse twisted breaks, raw beats, and polychromatic textures. A quiet force behind the decks, he’s helped shape East Java’s rave scene and now works from his Bali-based studio, refining his unique sound. With hardware synths and samplers, Danny explores the space between body-moving rhythms and heady electronica—music that’s both surreal and liberating. He’s one-third of experimental live act Fraktal and a key figure at Paddygrooves Radio.
