AM/PM: Chris Beecroft

About Chris Beecroft

Chris Beecroft is based in Fremantle, Western Australia, where he runs a film lab called Focus Pocus.

Interested in multi-disciplinary storytelling, he’s currently most inspired by documentary photography, editorial design, and spiritual jazz.

He created this series of work using old, expired, and discontinued peel-apart Polaroid films. The last of his batch, these Potato Head Polaroids will probably be the final time he shoots on this medium. The Polaroids were created to honour Potato Head’s sense of exploration and play, “an experiment in making something a little differently, and not gripping too tightly to the outcome.”

He hopes that they inspire a sense of play in others too, “to take a chance, make things for the sake of making them, and see what happens along the way.”
