Ixta Belfrage is a chef and writer. Drawing inspiration from her family’s Brazilian and Mexican roots as well as her Italian upbringing, Ixta’s cooking speaks to comfort, excitement and discovery. She has authored two bestselling cookbooks: “MEZCLA” and “Ottolenghi FLAVOUR” with the infamous Yotam Ottolenghi.

Ixta’s cooking is packed with flavour and inspired by cuisines from around the world. She’ll be staying at Desa this December, hosting a handful of intimate events that weave her favourite flavours together with Indonesian ingredients.

On Saturday the 3rd, Ixta will host an ‘all you can enjoy’ brunch with live cooking elements.

On Monday the 5th, join Ixta for a visit to the local market/farm, followed by an interactive cooking workshop showcasing ingredients from the market.

Come Wednesday the 7th, Ixta is set to host a celebratory, long table dinner of shared plates. Expect bright, bold flavours inspired by Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Indonesia and beyond!

Dietaries: vegan alternatives to meat and seafood dishes will be available to pre order however, unfortunately we can’t cater for any other requirements. Ixta’s menus are naturally gluten and nut free, however we can’t guarantee that traces will not be present.
