Into The Okavango
Directed by Neil Gelinas
Into the Okavango follows an intrepid team of explorers, including conservation biologist Steve Boyes, a river bushman, and a young scientist, on a 1,500-mile expedition across Angola, Namibia, and Botswana. Their mission is to trace the life-giving waters of the Okavango River over four months by canoe and on foot. As they navigate remote and rugged terrain, they confront both natural challenges and the growing threats to this critical ecosystem. The documentary reveals the vital importance of the Okavango Delta, one of Earth’s last wetland wildernesses, a sanctuary of biodiversity that urgently needs protection, and a water source that over 1 million people depend on.
