Klymax is Potato Head's Sound Centre. Every Friday and Saturday it becomes Bali's finest room, not by reputation alone, but by design. The room was conceived by DJ Harvey. The speakers were built by George Stavro on Richard Long's blueprint, the same sonic architecture as Paradise Garage and Studio 54. The floor is sprung: four layers of wood and foam. This is not a venue with a sound system. This is a room built around one.
Nothing here was assembled to look the part. The system was built to move air the way it was meant to, the floor was built to hold a room dancing until dawn, and every detail past that point exists to protect what those two things already do. Step onto the floor and the difference is not something you're told, it's something you feel before the first track finishes.
Straight out of the North Asian underground, Exelent is a true connoisseur of quality broken beat rhythms. Having honed his skills as a DJ at underground events, open-air raves and industrial warehouse parties across Siberia, the Multi BASS Project founder brings the sounds of tech-step, neurofunk, jump-up, grime and dubstep to the island. His career has started in 2009 and has included performances at Pirate Station, Therapy Session, Sun Vibes, Psyland, Sochi Spirit Festival.
General Rie
A key figure in Jakarta’s alternative music scene, General Rie has been DJing authentic dub tunes to Indonesian audiences since 2004. Now holding it down in Bali with Bali Dub Club, he brings heavy bass, deep selections, and proper sound system energy to every dance. Outside of the islands, General Rie has brought his heavyweight record bag to Australia, Europe and the UK.
Hanna
Ukrainian DJ Anna Hotel'nikova aka Hanna brings full-spectrum house music to dancefloors from Europe to Indonesia. The embodiment of positive energy, cheerfulness and sophisticated style, she started DJing in 2009, before learning to produce and headlining shows around Europe and Asia. Since she relocated to Bali several years ago, she’s playing bold, bright and beautiful sets for audiences all over the island.
ILNEJ
ILNEJ is the drum & bass alias of Jenli, a producer, DJ, one-half of Sunset Arrival, and the founder of Bali-based creative group Astra Sound Collective. Her sounds are intensely passionate and introspective in equal measure, folding together ambient, electronica, ethereal pop, breakbeats, and heavy bass. While blending rolling liquid basslines, classic jungle, and raw energy, she has performed at Locus Drum & Bass Festival, Club Conscious, and Wonderfruit Festival.
