Yellow Sky

Yellow Sky Tropical Fruit Wine, a small family-run nano winery in Bali, is redefining the winemaking landscape by exclusively using local Indonesian fruits like passionfruit, pineapple, and guava.

Before the pandemic, the family took permaculture classes to deepen their commitment to sustainability. When COVID-19 disrupted local agricultural markets, many farmers were left with excess unsold fruit. Yellow Sky responded by turning this challenge into an opportunity — integrating the surplus tropical fruit into their winemaking process, helping support local farming communities.

At this Open Talk, the family will share their journey — from navigating the disruptions of the pandemic to building a system that empowers farmers and promotes sustainable practices. The discussion will explore how small wineries can overcome production hurdles while prioritising community impact and environmental responsibility.

This session offers an insightful look at how Indonesia’s abundance of tropical fruit is being harnessed to create wines that contribute to a more sustainable future.

Bahasa Indonesia session 1pm–2pm.

English session 5pm–6pm.

Free event. Limited capacity.
