Potato Head launches the first in a series of live shows at Klymax, welcoming London-based bar italia alongside Balinese act Gangsar for an evening of diverse musical flavours.
Designed from ground to sound alongside the legendary DJ Harvey, Klymax was built to present sound exactly as it was intended to be heard. Adding the weekend lineup of cutting-edge international DJ talent, the live series will feature a hand-picked selection of revered bands and musicians, playing intimate shows in the sonic sweet spot of the Klymax dancefloor.
Dubbed “London’s most exciting band” by Crack Magazine, bar italia arrive with their searing and critically acclaimed post-rock sound. Following a string of word-of-mouth releases on World Music, and a series of packed London club shows, the band released a duo of albums on the Matador label, leading sold-out tours across Europe, the UK and the US. Bali’s very own Gangsar complete the lineup, bringing their far-reaching fusionist soundscapes that effortlessly glide through shades of psych rock, gamelan, free jazz and more.

Critically acclimated post-rock outfit bar italia is formed of the London-based trio Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, and Sam Fenton. Founded in lockdown, the group is an amalgamation of two cult projects: Double Virgo (Fehmi and Fenton’s project, released on Vegyn’s Plz Make It Ruins label) and NINA (Cristante’s solo project, released through Dean Blunt’s World Music label).
Gangsar
An evolution of the acclaimed Balinese outfit, Rollfast, Gangsar bring an energetic and contemporary twist to their music. Having started in a basement studio, they began exploring a wide range of sounds and styles, surfing through an intoxicating blend of sounds and styles to create a uniquely diverse listening experience.
