'Big Dipper' is a site-specific kinetic sculpture by Australian artist Michael Candy commissioned by Potato Head in 2023. Symbolic elements of biology and physics — the DNA helix and light waveform — allude to life’s origins from stars, representing the intersection between design, science and art.

Named after the constellation, 'Big Dipper' alludes to the primordial origin of life from stars. Reflecting on our relationship with the world around, and above us.
